Liverpool take REVENGE on Real Madrid over Trent Alexander-Arnold
Liverpool could well be expecting to lose Trent Alexander-Arnold to Real Madrid on a free transfer at the end of this season.
The 26-year-old is out of contract in summer 2025 with no breakthrough reached in talks over a new deal at Anfield.

Madrid attempted to negotiate for the full-back ahead of the January transfer window but the Reds declined to enter talks.
That leaves Liverpool vulnerable to Los Blancos signing Trent to a pre-contract agreement for next summer and losing their top homegrown talent for free.
It’s not only Alexander-Arnold reported to be in Madrid’s sights however with transfer noise now growing around Alexis Mac Allister in the Spanish capital.
Reports suggest the Argentine could be the subject of a €100 million bid from Madrid, who are still looking for a replacement for Toni Kroos.
Liverpool on alert for Brahim Diaz
But Reds who might be getting sick of hearing about transfer stories linking their players to Madrid might soon see some vengeance being exacted by the Anfield side.
According to reports in Spain, Liverpool are monitoring Brahim Diaz with head coach Arne Slot seeing the Morocco international as a ‘perfect’ solution in attack.
Fichajes says that Diaz is a “skillful and creative” winger who can help the Reds transition to a post-Mo Salah future.
Diaz, 25, has only started seven LaLiga matches for Carlo Ancelotti’s side this season and has been unable to hold a regular spot in the preferred lineup. And how it’s being reported that his uncertain future has alerted the attentions of several top European teams.
The former Manchester City player is under contract at the Bernabeu until 2027 and the Merseyside outfit face competition from Bundesliga pair Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund for his signature.
Liverpool are facing a shake-up in their attacking options in summer 2025 with Salah out of contract and apparently leaning towards a future with Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia.
Furthermore, Ben Doak could be sold to fund new purchases while Luis Diaz could also be sacrificed amid a contract standoff. Bryan Mbeumo has once again been linked as a potential incoming signing for the Reds.
