Real Madrid begin discussions for TWO Liverpool transfers
Real Madrid are looking into deals for two Liverpool players. And that's as well as Trent Alexander-Arnold.
It's incredibly clear to everyone now that Real Madrid want to sign Trent Alexander-Arnold. The Scouser is out of contract at the end of the season and is free to leave.

And it seems he will. Real Madrid have been pushing to sign Alexander-Arnold for over a year now, believing they've found a magnificent deal for one of the world's best players.
They have, to be fair to them, as free transfers for players like Alexander-Arnold aren't exactly abundant. It's a massive blow to Liverpool, though, who will be praying he changes his mind and re-signs a contract with his boyhood club.
But this is just the latest in a long line of players choosing Real Madrid over Liverpool. Typically, that's for transfer targets and half of the squad in Madrid were strongly linked with the Reds at one point or another.
There are also those who decided to leave Liverpool for Spain, though. Steve McManaman and Michael Owen both used their contract situations to go there - the former on a bosman, the latter by forcing a move in the final year of his deal.
There are those Liverpool simply sold to Real Madrid, as well. Xabi Alonso and Alvaro Arbeloa went there for decent fees.
So the overall takeaway here is that Real Madrid like what's going on at Liverpool. So much so that Alexander-Arnold won't be the last player in this squad that they try to sign.

Real Madrid plan for Liverpool stars
Marca reports that Real Madrid are discussing moves for Alexis Mac Allister and Ibrahima Konate. Deals have been on their agenda in a recent meeting.
Mac Allister would need to force a move there for anything to happen, though. The chances of that seem incredibly slim - he's never given any impression that he'd want to move. Even quotes from his father, presented in Marca's report, suggest he's happy at Liverpool.
In other words, we can't see that one happening. Real Madrid can continue admiring from afar.
Konate, though, is a different matter. He enters the final year of his contract at the end of the season and Liverpool face a difficult time getting him to sign a new one.
Anfield Watch understands Paris Saint-Germain are eager to sign Konate, who hails from Paris. They'll join Madrid in making things very tough for Liverpool in contract talks.

This one might really have legs, then. As much as we'd hate to see another player swap Anfield for the Santiago Bernabeu, the Reds are powerless to stop Konate for longer than one year.
