RB Leipzig SNATCH wonderkid away from Liverpool in €80m deal
Young talents are hot property in the football transfer market at the moment. You have to think on your feet if you're to successfully get a deal across the line.
Liverpool have about as much transfer pull as any of the elite club's in Europe right now. We've successfully tied down Mohamed Salah and Virgil Van Dijk for the next two years and the Premier League trophy is firmly in sight which will mark the club's 20th domestic league title.
EXCLUSIVE: Paris Saint-Germain commit to massive Ibrahima Konate move
Things are looking good. The platform that has been set is steady and the future is looking bright for the club, although a significant rebuild is expected to take place this summer.
For once, Fenway Sports Group (FSG) are expected to splash the cash on Merseyside and the recruitment team is confident of pulling off a spectacular few months of transfer business.
However, according to the latest reports, one of the wonderkids that the club had been monitoring ahead of a potential move at the end of the season is now expected to join someone else.
Dibling favours move to Germany
19-year-old Tyler Dibling has been a player on everyone's mind this season.
After Southampton were promoted from the Championship last year, everyone was excited about seeing how they would fare in the Premier League.
While the overall quality of the team was lacking, players like Dibling were promoted through the club's academy and the youthful spirit in the team looked sure to impress, whatever happened.
Across 33 appearances, Dibling has more than made an impact, delivering four goals and two assists - showcasing his natural talent in his maiden campaign playing at a senior level.
Each of the big Premier League clubs have assessed him this season, hoping to persuade the Englishman of a move now that the Saints are relegated, but a £100m price tag was put on him in an attempt to throw teams off the scent.
Now, however, claims are emerging that a cut-price deal could be offered to clubs outside of England, although convincing Southampton to let him go at any price will be a struggle.
According to Florian Plettenberg at Sky Sport in Germany, both Bayern Munich and Leipzig are interested him, with the Red Bulls currently ahead in the race.
Dibling is reportedly open to moving to the Bundesliga and the transfer fee would fall way below the estimates that have been reported so far as 'figures around €70–80m are wide of the mark'.
As such, Liverpool would have a new opportunity to explore, as the youngster is now a lot more financially viable than previously understood and what would be more enticing than a move to the Premier League champions?
Anfield Watch currently understands that the Reds' forward line is likely to be freshened up this summer, and the addition of Dibling would add some fresh and exciting flair to the attack.

Of course, a lot of positions are in need of some TLC this summer, so the budget will need to be spent wisely, but if the Saint is available for a more reasonable price, then Liverpool shouldn't count him out.
