Liverpool want to sign €95m striker
It’s quite funny to suggest that the best team in the entire world have a problem at centre-forward, but that’s exactly the situation Liverpool find themselves in.
The Reds have no problem scoring goals. This is largely thanks to Mo Salah, who is one of the most ruthless finishers of a chance the game has ever seen, despite operating from the right wing.

Head coach Arne Slot started the season with Diogo Jota up front. It would be wrong to say he struggled, but he did only net twice in his first seven games before being out for two months with a rib injury.
Darwin Nunez mainly stood in for him but he has only scored three goals in 10 appearances post-Jota’s injury.
Slot then turned to Luis Diaz in a central role, with the move seeming to get the best out of the team overall. While he still hasn’t been prolific, a brace against Tottenham this past weekend showed just how effective a direct striker could be in this team.
Rumours have been abundant in the position this season so far, with Frankfurt’s Omar Marmoush and Brighton’s Joao Pedro emerging as the main options. But now another candidate has materialised.
Sky Germany are reporting Liverpool have logged their interest in PSG’s Randal Kolo Muani.
Liverpool's could give Kolo Muani second chance
Kolo Muani is reportedly confirmed to be leaving Paris in this January’s transfer window, with his €95m move from Frankfurt seemingly not working out.
As a result, PSG are allegedly seeking a loan-to-buy option so that the French international is off their books for the rest of the season at a bare minimum.
RB Leipzig are also an interested party if Kolo Muani wants to go back to Germany where he first had success.
After 40 goal involvements in all competitions for Frankfurt back in 2022/23, Kolo Muani’s move to PSG saw him grab 15 last season for PSG.
But with only two goals and a single assist in 10 appearances this season, it seems like it’s curtains in France for him.
The striker may be best remembered for his one-on-one miss in the last minute of the World Cup final, with France level 3-3 with eventual winners Argentina.
Joining Liverpool would give him a serious chance to rewrite that legacy.
