The agent of Eintracht Frankfurt forward Omar Marmoush has not played down talk of a transfer amid links to Liverpool.

The 25-year-old striker has been in fine form for the Bundesliga side this season, netting ten times in 20 appearances to date.

Signed on a free transfer from Wolfsburg last summer, Marmoush — who had never previously scored more than five in a top-flight campaign — has enjoyed his most productive season to date as Frankfurt chase European qualification.

According to reports in Germany, the Egyptian forward's performances have not gone unnoticed in England, with both Liverpool among the clubs watching him closely ahead of a possible a summer transfer.

Frankfurt will supposedly demand as much as €50m (£42.5m) for the sale of Mohamed Salah's international teammate.

'We have plans'

Asked about the recent links, Marmoush's agent, Michael Reschke, has stoked the fires of speculation by claiming he 'expects' offers from across Europe.

He told Egyptian TV, via King Fut: “We have good plans for Marmoush. Marmoush has been delivering outstanding performances recently and a bright future awaits him. He currently has a global market, so we don’t rule out receiving offers from all over the world.

“Marmoush is greatly loved within Eintracht Frankfurt, so offers are not only expected from within Germany but from all over Europe. This isn’t a strange matter, and we should all expect it because his performance, level, and name have become like gold currency and the energy he possesses on the pitch promotes him.

“He has a completely distinctive style, his eyes are sharp, and I cannot compare him to anyone else. He is a wonderful and special player.”

In the original reports of Liverpool's interest, Reds are described as ‘hot’ for the 27-cap Egypt international who also has Canadian citizenship, while it is also claimed that the forward ‘dreams of England’.

Marmoush's contract in Germany runs until 2027.
