€8m transfer could see record-breaking winger BACK at Liverpool
Liverpool are spoilt for choice when it comes to the wide attacking areas this season.
Mohamed Salah has been as reliable as ever, topping the Premier League goalscoring charts and becoming, arguably, the best player in the world.

On the other side of the attack, Luis Diaz and Cody Gakpo have beeen swapping duties with the Dutchman emerging as a genuine star under Arne Slot.
The Reds’ senior options have all reached double figures for goals before the end of the calendar year and the fact that those three forwards are so well-established means that younger Liverpool attacking stars are left to seek game time elsewhere on loan.
Last summer Lewis Koumas and Ben Doak were among the young Liverpool attacking options who sought loans in the Championship.
Both are doing well with Doak again on the scoresheet on December 26 as his Middlesbrough side threw away a three-goal lead against Sheffield Wednesday.
Liverpool will be delighted by the productivity shown by those two players in particular, which could either set them up for a spot in the first team in years to come or else help the club earn handsome transfer fees.
Kaide Gordon's uncertain Norwich future
Another player who left on loan last summer with high expectations was Kaide Gordon, the 20-year-old winger who joined Norwich City.
However, it’s been a loan spell to forget thus far for the Derby County-raised youngster, who has made only one Championship start. Gordon spent Boxing Day on the bench as Norwich struggled to a 2-1 defeat against Millwall.
His lack of minutes has led to talk that Liverpool could opt to rip up his loan deal in January and bring him back to the club.
“Liverpool loanee Kaide Gordon was an unused substitute against the Lions, and the youngster's lack of game time at Carrow Road could lead to his new year recall by the Reds,” reads a report in the Eastern Daily Press.
Whether he would remain with the Premier League 2 side or else embark on another loan is not yet known. But his fate could well be sealed if Norwich complete their preferred transfer in the upcoming January window.
Slavia Prague winger Matej Jurasek is on the radar of the Canaries with a deal worth €6m to €8m possible in the new year. Given the 21-year-old possesses some of the same characteristics as Gordon, it could hint that the Liverpool man’s spell will reach a premature end.
Norwich scouted the 21-year-old in the Europa League clash against Anderlecht earlier in December, according to the report. And so while the likes of Doak and Koumas go from strength to strength on their temporary spells away from the club, it’s not yet worked out for Gordon, who could soon find himself back at the AXA Training Centre.
Gordon became Liverpool’s youngest-ever FA Cup goalscorer in 2022 when he netted in the Reds’ 4-1 win over Shrewsbury Town.
