Alarm bells at Liverpool after Neymar transfer agreed
Liverpool will be on red alert after Neymar's transfer from Al Hilal was agreed. This could get very interesting.
Neymar's move back to Santos is now imminent. Per Fabrizio Romano, there's a verbal agreement between the player, Santos and Al-Hilal.

Finer details still need ironing out, of course, but this one is happening. Neymar will return to Brazil after what should really go down as one of the worst transfers of all time.
The Brazilian joined Al-Hilal as a superstar signing back in 2023 for around €90m. They've been paying him an annual salary of around €150m. He immediately picked up a serious injury, however, and Neymar featured just seven times before it was decided to cut his time there short.
Al-Hilal can extend his contract by a year - but they won't. Instead, they're shipping him back to Brazil.
That's an interesting one, though. Neymar's move away creates a big gap at Al-Hilal and they want to fill it.
After all, they won the Saudi Pro League even without Neymar playing. They're to feature at the Club World Cup this summer, too - and plan on making an impression.
Liverpool beware.

Liverpool on red alert
Al-Hilal have even more money to burn and room in their squad for a superstar. Anfield Watch understands they've already tried to fill that gap with Darwin Nunez.
Al-Hilal put £70m on the table for Nunez but Liverpool rejected it. That's since been supported by The Telegraph, who report a massive wage packet offered to the Uruguayan.
The plan here is that Al-Hilal want a superstar to replace Neymar in time for the Club World Cup. That player needs to register in time and would need to arrive before the summer.
Liverpool, then, can anticipate another late bid for Nunez. Unless Al-Hilal aim even higher than that.
Al-Hilal are also eyeing Mo Salah with the end of his contract this summer. It's not impossible to see a mega-bid landing on Liverpool's desk for the Egyptian.
The Saudi side would pay a premium to have Salah at the CWC, after all. Journalist Ben Jacobs has sounded the alarm bells, in fact, as he made it clear that Al-Hilal are expected to try for a superstar.
Now, maybe that's Nunez. Maybe it's Salah. Maybe it's not a Liverpool player at all. But the Reds best be prepared to deal with a massive offer - just in case.
