Liverpool can take advantage of disrespect shown to one England star to land him this summer. The chance is there for the Reds.

Everyone should expect plenty of movement with Liverpool this summer. It's essentially guaranteed - whether they'd like it or not.

Mo Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold's contracts are all expiring and as things stand, they're off for free. But there are more potential outgoings on top of that.

Ibrahima Konate, Caoimhin Kelleher and Andy Robertson will all enter the final years of their respective deals. We don't expect Robertson to depart but the other two? It's genuinely likely.

Konate is wanted by Paris Saint-Germain and reportedly Real Madrid. Kelleher wanted to leave Liverpool last summer - this time around it'll be difficult to resist any offers.

But those are just the ones where Liverpool are forced into action. The Reds also plan to make even more deals happen as they reshape their attack.

Anfield Watch understands a major overhaul of the attacking options will happen. That means plenty leaving and plenty arriving as Arne Slot gets a group of players together that suits his system.

And one potential signing just became a lot more likely.

Morgan Gibbs-White to Liverpool?

Liverpool have been consistently linked with Morgan Gibbs-White in 2025. The versatile midfielder could be an ideal addition to the squad as the Reds move forward on this rebuild.

He's having a fantastic season at Nottingham Forest, after all. Gibbs-White has been up there with their very best players in this shock top-four charge.

Despite that, Gibbs-White hasn't quite had the recognition his season deserves. Thomas Tuchel initially left him out of his first England squad and then after adding him after injury withdrawals, left him out again from the matchday squad.

And this is unfortunately how football is right now. Gibbs-White would almost certainly be a regular in the England squad if he played for a club bigger than Nottingham Forest.

It feels inevitable, then, that if he wants proper England recognition, he's got to move on - and that's where Liverpool can take advantage. Pushing that in any talks with Gibbs-White is how you turn his head and get a deal done.

His displays this season deserve recognition at the international level, even with all the competition in midfield. Liverpool can make sure he gets that.
