West Ham United star Mohammed Kudus' decision to change who he is represented by has garnered a strong reaction among Liverpool supporters on social media.

Following an impressive debut season with the Hammers in which he scored 14 goals and weighed in with six assists in 46 appearances across all competitions, the Ghana international has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for the Merseyside giants.

Regarded as the long-term successor to Mohamed Salah on the right-hand side of the Reds' attack, it's understood the 23-year-old has a release clause of £85m that will become active once again next year, but talk of a move this summer refuses to go away.

In fact, Kudus may have fuelled such transfer rumours even further after publicly expressing his admiration for new Liverpool assistant coach John Heitinga, calling him one of the best coaches he has worked under when speaking to Dutch outlet Voetbal Primeur.

And now there appears to be even more intrigue with regard to Kudus' future after journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed the attacking midfielder has made a big decision by switching his representation.

"Mohammed Kudus will be now represented by relatives and legal team after decision to part ways with his former agents," Romano wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

'Liverpool awaits' Kudus

Whilst this change from Kudus doesn't guarantee he will be on the move any time soon, the decision has certainly got some Liverpool fans excited over a future transfer.

For example, @MrBenedict_84 said: "Kudus come to Liverpool", @Osman_acoustic said: "Kudus to Liverpool", @RoyalOptimistic said: "Liverpool let’s go!",@piakiingsley said: "Liverpool awaits."

@AfricanLadd said: "Liverpool fans let's gather here if you want Kudus as our first summer signing", @emirofuyo said: "Time to come to Liverpool, Kudus", @Elvis_SZN1: "Come to Liverpool Kudus please" and @iamEzike1st_son said: "Kudus please come to Liverpool."
