'New Di Maria': Liverpool is my DREAM MOVE
Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing an Argentinian who has been likened to former Real Madrid and Manchester United winger Angel Di Maria.
The Reds are among a number of Premier League clubs who have shown an interest in signing the Velez winger, according to TBR Football.
Born in 2004, this season has been a breakout one for Fernandez so far. Having made his debut in the 2023 season and appearing three games, this year he has five goals and nine assists in 33 games across all competitions
Fernandez has also now said it's his dream to play for Liverpool.

The new Mohamed Salah?
With Salah's contract situation still up in the air, Sporting Director Richard Hughes will be planning for all eventualities. One of those includes the Liverpool legend leaving at the end of the season, so the club will have a long list of potential replacements.
It's almost impossible for Liverpool to replace Salah with just one player, so a more scattergun approach could work well.
At 20, Fernandez still has lots of room to grow and will need to show the ability increase his goal involvement numbers to have any chance of signing for any top Premier League side, including Liverpool.
According to TBR Football, scouts familiar with his game have also drawn comparisons between him and a young Di Maria, with one crucial difference – Di Maria and Salah both prefer cutting in on their left foot from the right hand side of the pitch, while Fernandez is right-footed and plays the majority of his football on the left.
With his contract expiring at the end of 2025, Liverpool would be in a good position as a potential buyer to negotiate a deal that represented value for money.

Fernandez's dream move
Fernandez could be a smart buy for Liverpool for more than one reason, with his potential on the pitch joined by an interest in sports medicine off it.
The winger is currently studying Kinesiology and Physical Therapy at the Universidad Abierta Interamericana and the Velez star recently said that a transfer to Liverpool would be his dream, according to TyC Sports.
Speaking at a session for journalism students at his university, Fernandez said that he would like to "play in Europe and, as a dream, in the Premier League and in Liverpool."
That dream could become a reality if he continues to improve.
To do so, Fernandez knows he'll need to be mentally as well as physically prepared for the rigours of top-level football.
"The amount of pressure there is, the nervousness, the anxiety, there is a lot of mental issues that need to be worked on by the players," he said during his talk at the University.
"A lot of it also has a physical impact, if they are not mentally well it has an impact on injuries, and I not only think that all players should have a psychologist at their side but I agree that most people should go to a psychologist, to therapy."
