Liverpool transfers: Mo Salah 'opens talks' with Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli
Liverpool have enjoyed an electrifying start to the season and Arne Slot has got many of his players performing at the highest level.
Since Slot’s arrival at Anfield a number of players such as Ryan Gravenberch and Ibrahima Konate, who were on the periphery at the end of last season, have emerged as must-start players for the Reds.
It is not just players with a lot to prove that have stepped up under Slot, favourites like Mohamed Salah and Luis Diaz have enjoyed a phenomenal start to the season and look back to their best.
Salah’s red-hot start to the campaign has been overshadowed somewhat by the fact that this could be his last season in a Liverpool shirt and now the Egyptian King is reportedly already in discussions over a move away from Merseyside.

Salah in Saudi Pro League talks
It is common knowledge that Salah has entered the last year of his contract at Liverpool and, although both the player and his agent have not spoken openly about where his future lies, speculation about the 32-year-old is rife.
Now, a fresh report from CaughtOffside has suggested that Saudi Pro League club Al-Ahli are currently engaged in discussions to bring the Egyptian winger to the club.
The report also states that Salah’s priority remains staying at Liverpool but that he is open to a move away from Anfield.
Al-Ahli is home to some familiar faces for Salah, with former teammate Roberto Firmino at the club as well as Ivan Toney and Riyad Mahrez.
Salah’s contract latest
Salah shocked the world by publicly stating that negotiations hadn’t yet begun with the club over an extension following the Reds 3-0 win over Manchester United at the start of September.
Since then, multiple reports have suggested that negotiations will begin soon, and that Salah doesn’t necessarily have his heart set on a move away.
This hasn’t stopped recent links to PSG, and despite the forward’s uncertain future off the pitch, Salah has continued to produce on the pitch, including with a stunning strike against Bologna.
No one truly knows where the Egyptian King will be playing his football next year but Liverpool fans will be hopeful that their talisman will remain at Anfield for years to come.
