Liverpool Transfer News: Michael Edwards ready to SELL Mo Salah this summer

Michael Edwards is ready to cash in on Mohamed Salah this summer amid significant interest from the Saudi Pro League, according to one report.

The talismanic winger has been in fine form again this season, producing a combined 36 goals and assists in just 35 matches for the Reds in all competitions.

However, the Egyptian's contract expires in 2025 and there have been no updates on his deal being renewed, with an exit this summer not out of the question.

Saudi Arabia are still desperate to bring Salah to the Pro League after being rebuffed in their attempts to sign the 31-year-old last summer, with a significant offer perhaps proving too good to turn down.

According to Graeme Bailey and HITC, Saudi Arabia are preparing to make another move for Salah this summer, with Al Ittihad the likely destination for the attacker.

Fenway Sports Group's CEO of Football Edwards would be willing to sell Salah for an appropriate amount this summer - providing he makes it clear, 'as expected', that he would like a move to the Middle East.

Liverpool will have to make a decision on Salah's future at the end of the season as they can't allow him to leave for nothing in 2025. They either have to offer him a new deal, or cash in on him while his price is high.

The Reds are expected to pursue wingers this summer, even being linked with a player nicknamed 'Little Messi', although whether they are ready to offload Salah remains to be seen.

The Egypt captain hasn't been at his best since returning from injury recently, but still guarantees goals and assists at a breathtaking rate - something which is incredibly difficult to replace.

Salah's future may also depend on who replaces Jurgen Klopp in the Liverpool dugout, with Ruben Amorim the priority candidate for the hot seat at present.
