Mo Salah makes STAGGERING contract demand
For almost a decade, Mohamed Salah has been the jewel in Liverpool’s crown but that could all be about to change.
It is no secret that Salah is in the final months of his contract at Anfield, and speculation has been mounting over where the Egyptian will be playing his football next year.

For many, the most likely destination for Salah is the Saudi Pro League, and the reigning champions Al-Hilal seem to be the favourite to secure his signature, with some reports even going as far as saying a deal is done.
If Salah does make the move to Saudi Arabia, the figures involved will be eye-watering, and the 32-year-old’s contract demands may have just been revealed.
Salah’s potential Saudi wage revealed
According to the Saudi Sports Channel, Salah would be set to earn 150 million Saudi Riyals a season, or 300 million over the course of a two-year deal.
That figure is roughly the equivalent of £33 million a year, or £635,000 a week, close to double what the Egyptian King currently earns at Liverpool.
The outlet claim that this offer is for a summer deal with Salah, but that “negotiations are underway with Liverpool management and coach Arne Slot about Al-Hilal's current needs, as well as the remaining six months of Salah's contract.”
If this report is accurate, a deal for Liverpool to extend Salah’s stay in Merseyside becomes a lot more complicated, as it would be nearly impossible for the Reds to match the astronomical wage Al-Hilal are proposing.
How will Salah’s contract saga end?
Al-Hilal aren’t the only interested party in Salah’s future. PSG are reportedly keen on bringing the forward to Paris and it still remains a possibility that Liverpool extend their talisman’s contract.
The Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority in Saudi Arabia, Turki Alalshikh, added to speculation that Salah is Saidi-bound when he posted a mocked-up photo of the star in Al-Hilal’s kit on social media.
It has also been suggested that Salah’s focus on the pitch has dwindled as his mind is already at the Riyadh based club.
Salah and his representatives have been free to negotiate and agree a pre-contract agreement with oversees clubs since 1 January, and it seems as though a deal that will see Salah move on from Anfield could be edging closer.
Liverpool supporters will remain hopeful that the club can tie their star man down to an extension, but they will want him to continue his excellent form for the rest of the campaign regardless of his future.
