UK Parliament INTERVENES in Liverpool - Mo Salah contract talks
Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah is set to LEAVE the club at the end of the season, bringing eight glorious seasons at Anfield to an end.
With a contract set to expire in 2025, there has been no breakthrough in negotiations between the club and Salah’s entourage, with the player reportedly growing frustrated with how talks are progressing.

It’s been suggested that Salah is prepared to accept a one-year extension in order to remain on Merseyside but discussions are at a standstill.
Salah has sent plenty of messages to Liverpool this season about his contract situation, telling the media on several occasions that this will be his last season at Anfield and remarking following the win against Southampton last month that he was more out than in for next season.
'Give Salah a new contract NOW'
His form is stunning, scoring 15 goals and adding 12 assists in all competitions for Arne Slot’s side this season.
The Egyptian King was in flying form on Wednesday night, scoring twice and adding one assist as the Reds drew 3-3 against Newcastle.
He also scored one and assisted another during the recent Premier League game against Manchester City at Anfield - a game in which it was again emphasised how important the 32-year-old remains to his side’s fortunes.
And following the game, one prominent voice from parliament DEMANDED that Liverpool offer a contract to Salah as soon as possible.
Zarah Sultana, independent MP for Coventry South, has been in the House Of Commons since 2019, previously representing Labour until her suspension in July 2024.
She posted on X, formerly Twitter, following the game in a desperate plea to ensure Salah got his contract demands satisfied by FSG and Liverpool sporting director Richard Hughes.
“LFC, give Mo Salah a new contract NOW,” the MP wrote.
Salah’s contract standoff has now reached the corridors of power in the United Kingdom, but will Liverpool be minded to listen?
