Liverpool transfer latest: Reds find the one to REPLACE Virgil van Dijk as star refuses new contract
Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Mohamed Salah all see their terms expire in summer 2025 with no breakthrough in negotiations over a new deal.

Van Dijk was reported to be close to signing his new contract but talk has trailed off in recent weeks. Alexander-Arnold would appear to have one foot out of the door with Real Madrid intent on signing the 26-year-old fullback on a high-profile free transfer.
Salah, meanwhile, is a well-known target for clubs in the Saudi Pro League.
Jorge Jesus confirms Salah interest
Back in summer 2023, Al Ittihad made an attempt to sign Salah from Liverpool but saw those attempts rebuffed.
Salah - like Van Dijk and Alexander-Arnold - has been entitled to speak to potentially interested overseas clubs since January 1 and there have been reports of a meeting between his entourage and Al Hilal.
The Saudi giants have just got rid of Neymar and so have a position available at No10 as well as a mammoth salary to offer.
While no official confirmation has yet been announced, it is expected that Al Hilal will try to add Salah to their squad before the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, which starts in June.
Losing Salah would be a bitter blow to Liverpool and it is clear now that Al Hilal interest is genuine.
Club coach Jorge Jesus was recently asked by Canal 11 in Portugal about the possibility of adding Salah to the ranks and he did not shy away from the question.
"Of course I would like to bring Salah to Al Hilal, he is a player who suits the team's style,” he is reported to have said in quotes carried by Masrawy in Egypt.
"The Saudi League will be a future destination for many international stars until the 2034 World Cup. It is continuing to develop and will not stop."
REVEALED: Liverpool's top 10 most valuable players
Al Hilal have also been interested in adding Darwin Nunez but saw their interest in the former Benfica player knocked back in January. They could however return with a new bid in the summer transfer window.
