'The One': £45m superstar is now Liverpool's top target
Liverpool are gearing up for one of the biggest transfer windows in the history of the club.
Despite the Reds’ 20th league title being within reach, an overhaul of the squad looks certain, and Richard Hughes’ top targets are starting to emerge.

As exclusively revealed by Anfield Watch, a number of high-profile departures are expected from Liverpool’s front line, but the defence also looks like it will receive a refresh.
Trent Alexander-Arnold’s move to Real Madrid looks increasingly likely, and a change on the other side of the back line is also being talked up, with one of Andy Robertson or Kostas Tsimikas set to be replaced.
Milos Kerkez is Liverpool’s ‘number one target’
Speaking to The Redmen TV, Liverpool ECHO journalist Paul Gorst delivered an update on the Reds’ search for a new left-back.
“I know Liverpool have taken a look, I’m not sure to what extent, at Miguel Gutierrez at Girona, but it does feel like Kerkez is the one at the moment,” Gorst explained.

Gutierrez and Kerkez are among the plethora of left-sided full-backs that have been linked with an Anfield switch this season, but it appears that Hughes’ shortlist is getting shorter.
Gorst revealed: “Unless there is an alternative who’s yet to emerge, Kerkez is the number one target.”
The Cherries will demand a fee of around £45 million for the 21-year-old Hungarian, a price that the Reds look set to pay.
Kerkez to Liverpool
The Hungarian international has two goals and six assists in 31 Premier League appearances for Bournemouth this season and was brought to England by Richard Hughes before he made the move to Merseyside.
Anfield Watch exclusively revealed earlier in the season that talks had already begun over a potential transfer for Kerkez and now that deal looks imminent.
One of Robertson or Tsimikas will presumably be sold to make room for Kerkez in the squad and, at just 21, he could occupy Liverpool’s left-back spot for the next decade.
The Reds aren’t the only side interested in Kerkez, but they appear to have made the Hungarian their top target at left-back and that could be enough to secure his services.

Richard Hughes has plenty of work to do before the transfer window opens, but Kerkez to Liverpool looks increasingly likely as the summer approaches.
