Liverpool Transfer News: Milos Kerkez race takes SUDDEN twist
Liverpool are firmly in the race to sign Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth. It's a race that's taken a twist, however.
You will likely see a lot of reports linking Milos Kerkez to Liverpool in 2025. The Reds have an interest there and they will be moving for a left-back this year.

Kostas Tsimikas is set to be replaced as Andy Robertson's primary backup. Liverpool want a long-term successor to the Scot and Tsimikas won't be that.
Anfield Watch reported back in November that the Reds had eyes on Kerkez for the role. They started initial talks - though, those were talks to see if a move was possible, rather than any full-on negotiation.
It certainly appears that a move is possible, though. Fabrizio Romano is among those reporting that Liverpool are in the race, with Bournemouth open to selling for the right price.
That price will supposedly land at around £40m. It's an awful lot of money for a left-back but Kerkez is certainly one of the most promising in Europe right now.
However, this is one that's taken a twist - and Manchester City are to blame.

Milos Kerkez to Liverpool?
Sky Sports Switzerland claims Juventus are about to fully enter the race for Kerkez. That produces a complication for Liverpool.
City are actually to blame here as they're expected to move for Andrea Cambiaso, leaving Juventus needing a new left-back. Kerkez is their pick.
They've got a solid relationship with Kerkez's new agent, too, which gives them hope here. But the other factor is that Liverpool do not want to get involved in a bidding war.
Juventus, flush with cash from selling Cambiaso, could offer Bournemouth a figure above the asking price. Doing so would essentially force Liverpool to look elsewhere.

That's the suggestion here and we imagine it means the Reds feel Kerkez's current price is essentially the highest they'll go to. This isn't going to become a draw-out process with escalating prices.
But what this really means is that it's on Kerkez. He could reject a return to Italy and demand a move to Liverpool, forcing Bournemouth's hand a bit.
It sounds as though that won't happen, given his agency, but it might be the only way this happens. Not news Liverpool wanted to hear, then.
