While Antonee Robinson and Rayan Ait-Nouri have both been mentioned as potential incomings, it looks like Milos Kerkez is the man most likely to arrive.

The Bournemouth left-back, 21, has established himself as one of the best emerging defenders in his position in the Premier League this season.

The Hungary international has scored twice and added six top-flight assists this term, with sporting director Richard Hughes linked with a Kerkez reunion in summer.

Could Richard Hughes sign Kerkez again?

Having signed the former AC Milan player once before during his time as technical director for the Cherries, Hughes could well have a key advantage over transfer rivals in the chase.

But another factor in the Reds’ favour is Kerkez’s social media activity.

Having previously shared posts featuring Liverpool midfielder, and Hungarian international colleague, Dominik Szoboszlai, Kerkez is not shy about dropping hints of a potential Liverpool allegiance.

This time he was reacting on Instagram to the news shared by Fabrizio Romano that Mohamed Salah was close to agreeing a contract renewal.

Kerkez dropping Liverpool hints

It’s been speculated that Salah - as well as team captain Virgil van Dijk - will extend terms with the club and are set to remain on Merseyside until 2027.

Kerkez was among the millions who ‘liked’ the post, suggesting he would be pretty pleased if Salah continued to star at Anfield.
