£50m transfer target gets Liverpool seal of approval after PHENOMENAL performance
Liverpool could well opt to sign a new left-back in the upcoming transfer windows with uncertainty over the long-term future of Andy Robertson.
The Scotland captain will be 31 by the time the season ends and is beginning to show some signs of wear and tear. Robertson has been by and large Arne Slot’s starting left-back in the Premier League this season but has been rotated out of the Champions League lineup to accommodate Kostas Tsimikas.

He has also been guilty of some high-profile errors, giving away penalties in successive games against Southampton and Real Madrid. Accordingly the Reds have been linked with plenty of left-backs with Rayan Ait-Nouri and Antonee Robinson mentioned as potential targets.
Szoboszlai CONFIRMS Kerkez interest
However, one name has now emerged above all in relation to the Liverpool left-back slot and it’s Milos Kerkez.
The Bournemouth defender has been in imperious form, scoring a goal of the season contender for the Cherries against Wolves last weekend.
Anfieldwatch has revealed that the Reds are seeking to open talks over a potential £50m bid and that Dominik Szoboszlai - Kerkez’s Hungary teammate - had been speaking about his potential arrival.
Kerkez, perhaps, was under added scrutiny on Thursday night as Andoni Iraola’s side lined up against Tottenham in the Premier League with fans of not only Liverpool but Manchester United also tuning in to take a look.
Liverpool fans want Kerkez
Ruben Amorim’s side have also been linked with the 21-year-old, having seen Luke Shaw ruled out with yet another injury.
And Kerkez impressed yet again as Bournemouth downed Spurs by a single goal. Praise was high for Kerkez across social media with plenty of observers left stunned by his contributions.
“Kerkez is a phenomenal talent,” one Liverpool fan wrote on X. “Incredible intensity. Can play the game at 200 miles an hour if he wants. Smells blood and is very aggressive and forward-thinking. Great physique.
“Add some temperament to that and you have a serious player. We should definitely be looking at him.”
“Kerkez is the younger version of Robertson but faster, stronger and has more technical ability,” was the verdict of another. “BRING HIM IN.”
“Kerkez is like a ball of lightning ffs we have to get him in. Intensity is everything in this league,” opined another.
“Kerkez reminds me of Bixente Lizarazu. Built like a tiger tank. Can't half play ball,” said another.
With Robertson out of contract in 2026, it remains to be seen how sporting director Richard Hughes decides to replace him.
However, having signed Kerkez once before while in charge of transfers at Bournemouth, Reds fans will be hoping their sporting director can repeat the trick for one of the league’s emerging talents.
