£80m Michael Edwards favourite PUSHED to Saudi Arabia
Liverpool are on the precipice of an extraordinary summer transfer window, with the attack being one of the main areas targeted for improvement.
Mohamed Salah has led the line extraordinarily well once again and his contract renewal has been widely received as massive news. The Egyptian will be the club's centrepiece over the next two years.

However, other than Cody Gakpo, the rest of the forwards have been occasionally underwhelming this season and their futures are well and truly at risk once the season comes to an end.
Luis Diaz has been outshone by Gakpo and his contract is unlikely to be renewed. Furthermore, both Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota have proven that they cannot be relied upon in the big moments.
One player Liverpool have been long-term admirers of is likely to move this summer, although the Reds might miss out on the opportunity to sign him as his parent club have a clear vision of his future.
Mohammed Kudus looks resigned to a Saudi move
Anfield Watch understands that Liverpool have been huge admirers of Kudus since the days when Michael Edwards was the Reds' sporting director.
And since Edwards rejoined the club in the middle of last season, the rumour mill has churned once again, suggesting that the Ghanaian could at last become a Red.
Now that the management team at Liverpool has changed with Arne Slot taking the helm, the link between the player and the club has become that bit closer, as Kudus came out earlier in the season with high praise about backroom staff member John Heitinga, who he previously worked with at Ajax.
It's as though there was a perfect storm in play. The Reds needed a Mohamed Salah replacement and despite Kudus having only joined West Ham in 2023, the talented 24-year-old is yet to really feel comfortable at the London club.
In spite of Liverpool now no longer needing a Salah replacement, the forward line is still in need of TLC and Kudus would be a promising addition if a deal could be reached.
However, a new report from TBR Football is claiming that West Ham's preference is to see Kudus join the Saudi Pro League.
Graeme Bailey writes that the player is open to the move and since the interested parties in a move to an English or European club are only interested in a £50m fee, whereas his release clause is £80m, it seems as though the Middle East might be his only option.

Liverpool would struggle to meet his release clause if West Ham are adamant that they won't accept any lower offers, but it would certainly be a shame to see such a young player headed to Saudi Arabia already.
