Liverpool Transfer News Today: MASSIVE offer as Reds want striker
Here's your latest Liverpool transfer news.
Massive offer for Mo Salah
Details have emerged about the package PSG are putting together for Mo Salah. It puts Liverpool and FSG’s efforts into perspective with the French side easily eclipsing what is reportedly on the table from Anfield.
Respected French journalist Romain Collet Gaudin claims on X, formerly Twitter, that PSG are offering Salah a three-year contract worth €500,000 per week. He also claims that all Liverpool have put in front of the forward is a two-year deal worth €400,000 per week.
Factoring in salary conversions, that is pretty much what Salah is currently reported to be earning - around £350,000 a week.
Liverpool like Marcus Thuram
Teamtalk reports that Liverpool are in the market for Marcus Thuram. The Frenchman is lighting up Serie A right now and it appears the Reds are big fans.
Thuram currently boasts 12 goals and three assists for Inter in the top flight this season. He's been their star man, scoring some spectacular goals on the way.
For some perspective on just how much he's improved this season: Thuram has played exactly half as many games as he did in the previous campaign but is just one goal away from matching his 2023/24 tally.
Real Madrid's battle plan
Real Madrid are desperate to add Trent Alexander-Arnold to the ranks but there is no deal to be done with the Reds this month. Instead of paying to recruit the defender, Real will probably have to open talks with him directly over a pre-contract agreement.
Alexander-Arnold is out of contract in six months and is now free to hold talks with any potentially interested overseas clubs over a summer switch.
Madrid’s approach was confirmed by Spanish sources with Marca claiming that Liverpool are now “aware that the full-back's future does not involve continuing to play at Anfield".
The sports daily also claimed that Madrid were willing to offer a sum of between €20 million and €25m to land Trent this winter and warned that the club could be back before the end of the month.
Chiesa wants out
Having appeared only FOUR times for the first team, and only once in the Premier League, Federico Chiesa has already been linked with a return to Serie A.
Inter Milan, AC Milan, Roma, Napoli, Atalanta and Fiorentina have all been mentioned as potential destinations for the 27-year-old, although salary remains a significant sticking point for Italian teams.
But it has now emerged that returning to Italy is the primary wish of Chiesa this winter, either on a six-month loan deal or with a view to a permanent move.
FootMercato has revealed that Chiesa would like to regain his rhythm by playing regularly and that could mean a return to his native country.
Mac Allister asking price
As is often the case when a player finds great form for Liverpool, Real Madrid have been linked with a move for 26-year-old Alexis Mac Allister.
Fichajes are not only reporting that Los Blancos are keen to sign the former Brighton man, but also that Liverpool have set an asking price of €100 million for Mac Allister.
That fee would see the Reds bank a huge profit on a player they paid just €42 million for in 2023.
It would also see Mac Allister become the second most expensive departure in the club’s history, behind Philippe Coutinho who joined Barcelona in a €135 million deal in 2018.
