Liverpool Transfer News: Martin Zubimendi one step closer as sporting director issues update
Here's all your transfer news for Saturday 21st December.
Liverpool Transfer News: 'Extraordinary' star set for SHOCK move
According to Corriere dello Sport, Juventus are looking at bringing Sandro Tonali back to Italy.
The midfielder moved to Newcastle just a few years ago, but the latest report suggests that they want him back in January, in a transfer that would cost around €55m.
In order to raise the cash for the move, both Nicolo Fagioli and Kenan Yildiz are set to be on the chopping block, in a brutal ultimatum.
Despite Yildiz being one of the hottest young talents in the world right now at just 19 years old, the report claims that he is specifically being moved on because of "his international appeal, for the enormous capital gain that the operation would guarantee, and for strictly on-field reasons".
World-class player is BEGGING Richard Hughes to meet him
Journalist Christian Falk has provided an update on the Alphonso Davies' situation for CaughtOffside and backed up claims that Liverpool could be in for the Canadian full-back.
He said: "His agent, Nick Huoseh, will talk with any interested top club in the new year. When Huoseh is on his tour of England, Liverpool could get a meeting with him. It would be a good club for Davies, of course, given they play a style of football that would suit him. Liverpool, naturally, have a chance
"I think Manchester United and Real Madrid are more concrete by comparison at this point in time. {But] Bayern are applying pressure to sign him up to a new contract. They're still hopeful about making this work. So, Liverpool are still in the race, if they want him."
Whether Liverpool decide to proceed to look at Davies or not, the idea of signing him is a prospect that fans can definitely get on board with.
Sporting director issues SURPRISING Omar Marmoush transfer update
According to a report from the Egypt Independent, Marmoush is not set to go anywhere quite yet.
Eintracht Frankfurt's sporting director Bartosz Niedzwiedzki told Almasry Alyoum: "Omar Marmoush is the most important player in the team. We have not received any offers to sign the player, and all these reports are not true.
"The major international newspapers said that Manchester City, Liverpool, Barcelona, and Roma are all interested in signing Marmoush. I don't know where this news comes from.
"What is certain is that Frankfurt has not received any official offers from these or any other clubs. We usually don't comment on rumours, but if an official offer comes in, it will be studied by the management and Marmoush."
Liverpool move one step closer to BLOCKBUSTER Martin Zubimendi deal
The latest report in the Athletic sounds so appealing for Liverpool fans.
Citing “multiple well-placed sources”, the outlet reveals that Zubimendi is finally “coming to terms” with the idea of leaving Sociedad.
While some sources still state that Zubimendi may well end up staying, it’s believed things are different this time and the time will SOON come for the schemer to depart.
That said it’s unlikely that Zubimendi will leave in January - although Man City are reported to be keen on him replacing Rodri - and it’s more likely that he leaves next summer.
Expect sporting director Richard Hughes to be right at the front of the queue for Zubimendi if and when the time comes to make a bid. The player already knows exactly what’s on offer at Anfield under Arne Slot and could well be tempted into making the move to the Premier League.
Real won’t stand in the player’s way so long as their demands are met, as proven with recent big-money sales for Martin Odegaard, Alexander Isak, Robin Le Normand and Merino.
