Liverpool could LOSE Luis Diaz successor to Man Utd
Liverpool are expected to be active in the upcoming transfer window.
They added only Federico Chiesa to the ranks last summer with Giorgi Mamardashvili also due at Anfield at the end of the season following the completion of his Valencia loan deal.

But there will be more new faces - not least in attack where Arne Slot and Richard Hughes are eyeing upgrades. There is uncertainty over Chiesa as well as Luis Diaz, who could be sold as his contract ticks down.

And one player who has been tipped as a potential Liverpool arrival is emerging Real Betis star Jesus Rodriguez.
The 19-year-old has stepped up to Manuel Pellegrini’s first-team squad this season, scoring twice in his 17 LaLiga outings thus far. He was also on target in the recent UEFA Europa Conference League quarter-final victory over Jagiellonia.
Rodriguez’s form has placed him on the radar of several top clubs, including the Reds, with Betis expected to rake in £42 million - the value in his release clause.
Real Betis want Antony
The Spanish under-21 international is contracted to the Benito VillamarÃn side until 2029 having signed a new extension back in September.
But one complication in Liverpool’s chase for the left-winger has emerged in the shape of Antony. Manchester United loaned the Brazilian to Betis back in January - a move which has brought a remarkable resurgence for both Betis and Antony.
And now the Spanish club are keen to add the €95m flop to the ranks on a permanent basis but are struggling to come up with the requisite fee.
Could Betis swap Antony for Rodriguez?
El Nacional reports that Man Utd would let Antony go for €50m - but those sums are not possible for Betis. However, with their eyes firmly on Rodriguez, it’s now been reported that United would happily exchange him for Antony in a summer swap deal.

Betis of course have the option of selling Rodriguez to Liverpool instead - thereby generating the fee for Antony. Either way the race for one of Europe’s top young wingers is hotting up.
