Saudi clubs want to sign £67m Liverpool attacker
Liverpool are set for a striking overhaul next summer with several star names up for discussion.

Darwin Nunez came close to leaving Anfield for Saudi Arabia in the winter transfer window but ultimately the Reds fought off interest from Al Nassr and Al Hilal.

Diogo Jota, meanwhile, could be sacrificed in order to generate funds for other players with question marks over the Portugal international’s ability to stay fit.
And the future of Luis Diaz is complicated by an uncertain contract situation. The 28-year-old’s current deal expires in 2027 and there have been no indications of a renewal between the club and the forward.
Diaz, who signed from Porto in January 2022, is still on his original deal with a salary believed to be worth around £55,000. He is reported to be seeking a hefty pay rise with AC Milan quoted around £130,000 per week when they explored signing Diaz before the transfer window opened.
Saudis have strong interest in Diaz
Barcelona are also interested in the Colombia international but he is way outside the budget of the hard-up Catalans.
But if Liverpool and Diaz do not come to a compromise over a new deal then it is likely he will be sold sooner rather than later with time ticking down on his contract.
And now it’s been revealed that the Saudi Public Investment Fund is intending to assign Diaz to one of its flagship clubs with a transfer date of 2025 or 2026 in mind.
According to Ben Jacobs on TEAMtalk, Al Hilal and Al Nassr are the most likely destinations for Diaz, with Al Ahli having signed Galeno in winter and looking at Vinicius Junior for the next transfer period.
Jacobs also claims that Liverpool would seek around €80m (£67m) for Diaz in the event that he would be sold.
Liverpool have still not formalised a contract offer to Diaz but it would appear that the two parties are still far apart in terms of valuations.
