Luis Diaz drops transfer BOMBSHELL ahead of January window
Luis Diaz has had a positive season so far under Arne Slot, but there is a story brewing off the pitch.
His contract runs out in 2027 and the club will have to make a decision on his future soon.

Diaz is sitting on nine goals and three assists for the season so far, although he initially looked to be on for a Mohamed Salah-esque campaign.
However, away from the game, his situation is a little more complicated, as he is still sitting on just £55k per week, which is a modest salary at best compared to his teammates' wages.
As such, with plenty of clubs lining up to sign the Colombian winger, Liverpool have a situation on their hands.
Diaz's dream Barcelona move
Throughout the summer, Diaz was subject to plenty of speculation around his future, and Barcelona were the team that was knocking on the door most frequently. They had a number of different financial difficulties to navigate, so no move came to fruition.
In addition, both AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain have made clear their admiration for Diaz, and so unless Liverpool can figure out a new contract for him, the Reds may need to let him go and find a replacement.
Anfield Watch currently understands that Diaz is looking for €150,000 a week, which would be a significant uplift. It is understandable that he would be looking to upgrade his current contract, but tripling his wages may be a step too far.
It is a figure that AC Milan certainly cannot afford to offer him at this stage and amid a contract situation with Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk, Liverpool will be hard-pushed to have a figure like that available for him.
However, according to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, Diaz may well be hoping that Barcelona will go back in for him.
In their latest report, Diaz is said to be 'attracted by the siren songs coming from the Nou Camp'.
As such, it could be a match made in heaven with the Spanish giants being long-term admirers of the player.
For the time being, Liverpool will want to utilise his abilities as best as possible, but on the basis that his contract runs out in 2027, the club may actively try to move him on in the summer, in order to avoid the prospect of losing another player to a free transfer.
