Liverpool could see several forwards leave this summer. It promises to be a summer of change at Anfield with Arne Slot reported to be considering sweeping alterations to his strike line.

In the No9 position, Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota could both be sold as long as the Reds see their asking prices met.

Mohamed Salah still hasn’t put pen to paper on a new contract, meanwhile, with no small degree of uncertainty over whether he will be a Liverpool player next season.

We could also see Federico Chiesa moved on with plenty of interest in the Italian from Serie A - including AC Milan and Roma.

Luis Diaz is another who has been tipped for a summer departure. Signed in 2022 from Porto, Diaz remains on the same deal he signed back then, worth around £55,000 per week.

Diaz ready to FORCE Barca move

The Colombian international has been reported to be unhappy at his current salary but the club are not willing to meet his demands for a renewal.

With his current deal expiring in 2027, sooner or later club bosses could be forced to cash in rather than lose the 28-year-old on a free transfer.

There have been long-standing reports of Barcelona’s interest, although a few weeks ago it appeared Hansi Flick’s side had resolved to move on. That’s because they reckoned Diaz was too old and were instead reported to be pursuing younger targets.

But now comes a report from Carpetas Blaugranas, which states that Diaz remains sporting director Deco’s “dream” signing for the summer.

Arsenal also in Diaz chase

Complicating factors include Liverpool’s €80 million valuation and Barca’s precarious finances but one point in their favour is that Diaz is said to be ready to force through a move.

“The player would be delighted to come,” the report states. “From England, they assure that Luis Díaz views the possibility of signing for Barça this summer very favorably.

“Additionally, the forward would be willing to pressure his club to facilitate the operation, which could be a key point in the negotiations.”

Also in the picture for Diaz’s signature according to the Catalan publication are Arsenal, while Barca have got Rafael Leao and Nico Williams in line as alternatives to Diaz.

This season Diaz has hit 10 goals and added seven assists in 30 Premier League games. However, he remains under pressure for his starting berth from Cody Gakpo - a favourite of Arne Slot - and has had to contend himself with spells in the team at No9 instead.
