Liverpool have reached their DECISION over Luis Diaz
It appears as though Liverpool have come to a decision over the futures of several first-team stars. With the team on the brink of capturing the Premier League title, plans are nonetheless in motion to upgrade the team for Arne Slot next season.
Anfield Watch revealed that the club were willing to let players like Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota go with question marks over their ability to lead the line.

But Liverpool’s attacking changes won’t end there. With sporting director Richard Hughes keen to add to the club’s transfer funds, it’s now been claimed that Luis Diaz could find himself squeezed out of the club this summer.
Diaz valued at £60m
Signed in January 2022 from Porto, the 28-year-old remains on the same contract he earned back then. It’s worth in the region of £55,000 per week and in order to prolong his stay at the club beyond 2027 he would like a significant pay rise.
Liverpool are not currently prepared to meet his demands and this summer could be their final chance to bank a high fee for the Colombian.
Diaz could fetch £60 million in the transfer market, according to reports, with interest being shown from Saudi Arabia as well as Barcelona.
Liverpool willing to let Diaz go
And now Football Insider claims that the club will soon sit down with Diaz and explain that they are ready to let him go.
Liverpool are set to hold showdown talks with Luis Diaz about his long-term future at the club,” a report states. “With interest in Diaz’s signature ramping up, Liverpool are considering allowing the winger to leave in a bid to raise funds for reinvestment.”
Diaz has scored 15 goals this season and looks more of a genuine threat under Slot than he did under Jurgen Klopp.

However, there are more consistent forwards out there and the money earned on him could be used on Alexander Isak, Hugo Ekitike or Joao Pedro instead.
