Luis Diaz's future is up in the air right now. The Colombian has a contract that runs until 2027 but he remains on the initial deal he signed when joining Liverpool in 2022.

It means he's never received a pay-bump as a reward for performances when most others have. To make matters 'worse', Diaz signed for a comparatively lower amount than his peers.

Cody Gakpo, for instance, earns around double what Diaz does, per Capology. It leaves the latter somewhat justified in wanting to leave Liverpool.

Especially when Diaz reportedly rejected contract offers from the Reds this season. He doesn't like what they're offering him - and it opens the door to a summer exit.

There's really only one thing standing in the way, apparently, and that's agreeing a fee with Liverpool. But the impression from the article here is that this is the next step and that Barcelona re set on signing Diaz in the summer.
