Saudi Arabia to FUND £120m Liverpool summer spending spree
Liverpool are set for a summer transfer overhaul despite their impending Premier League success. It’s been suggested that several Reds’ stars have reached the end of the line with Arne Slot and sporting director Richard Hughes now preparing upgrades.
There are some significant gaps in the current Liverpool squad and the club could do with a new left-back, starting centre-forward and, perhaps, a central midfielder and centre-back too.

But that kind of spend is going to require some outgoings as there is rarely an FSG transfer splurge that isn’t paid for by business being done the other way.

Liverpool will likely need to raise money through sales and the Saudi Pro League could provide a cash injection if the Reds seek to pursue deals.
Nunez and Diaz could fetch £60m each
Darwin Nunez was a winter transfer target for two Saudi clubs in Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr. Both could be interested in adding the Uruguayan as a recruit this summer as Liverpool look prepared to sanction a sale.
The Reds were said to be holding out for around £75 million in January but that fee could be reduced to around £60m according to the latest reports.
And Luis Diaz, too, could well be available for sale as the contract standoff endures. If Liverpool cannot offload Diaz this summer then they risk losing him for a fraction of his true worth due to his contract expiring in 2027.
The latest reports suggest the Merseysiders would be prepared to accept £60m for the Colombian, meaning a boost to the transfer coffers of around £120m coming from Saudi Pro League sides.
Diaz and Nunez open to Saudi Arabia
It’s now been reported by TBR Football that both Diaz and Nunez would accept lucrative moves to the Middle East, freeing up significant salary space as well as giving Hughes more money to spend.
“Liverpool have dealt a double blow to the Saudi Pro League as targets Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk have now signed new contracts at Anfield,” a report reads.
“However, there are other Liverpool players in the sights of the league as they look to bring more football superstars to Saudi Arabia.
“The Saudi Pro League are ready to make a double move on Liverpool’s forward line this summer.
“The Pro League are ready to tempt them into a sale and TBR Football is told that Diaz, like Nunez, would be open to move to the Middle East.”

Getting Saudi money in for Nunez and Diaz could help fund moves for new forwards, with the likes of Alexander Isak, Hugo Ekitike and Matheus Cunha linked.
