There's too much uncertainty around players and it appears Liverpool are ready to rebuild, much as they did with their midfield in 2023.

Mo Salah could leave, given his contract expires at the end of the campaign. Both Diogo Jota and Darwin Nunez are viewed as unreliable, though for completely different reasons.

Luis Diaz, though, is an interesting one. His contract doesn't expire until 2027 and Liverpool did offer him a new one this season.

The Colombian rejected their offer, however, as it wasn't what he was looking for. Diaz remains on his initial contract from 2022 and would want a substantial pay rise to re-sign.

So here is it again. Only, this time we believe Liverpool will also be willing sellers. Barcelona just need to make sure the money is there to meet any asking price.
