Luis Diaz could soon reach Barcelona transfer BREAKTHROUGH
Liverpool winger Luis Diaz has been at the centre of several transfer rumours this season. With a contract expiring in 2027 - and no sign of a renewal - he could be sold this summer.
Diaz, 28, remains on the same contract he signed back in 2022 when transferring from Porto. It’s said to be worth £55,000 per week.

No doubt it would cost Liverpool a lot more than that to renew the Colombian and there is a big gap between what Diaz wants and what the Reds are willing to pay.

And plenty of teams have shown a willingness to come in for Diaz, who could command a sizeable transfer fee if he’s offloaded this summer.
Barca pave the way for Diaz arrival
One of the suitors previously named for Diaz were Barcelona, but it’s been reported that the Blaugrana would struggle to match Liverpool’s asking price.
But there could be a breakthrough in any proposed Barca chase for Diaz with the news that Raphinha could be on his way to Saudi Arabia.
The 28-year-old is the subject of a mammoth £75m bid from Al-Hilal, according to Sport in Spain. It would see the ex-Leeds playmaker rake in £151m over the course of a four-year contract.
And should the Brazil international depart, that could open the door to Diaz coming to the Camp Nou as a replacement. However, it must be added that Raphinha has replied to the speculation, stating that he is currently more motivated by dreams than money.
How will Liverpool replace Luis Diaz?
Barca don’t have much money to spend and will be forced to sell players before they buy. Diaz could well be a preferred option with sporting director Deco said to be a big fan of the South American.
Should Diaz leave, Liverpool would be of course in the market for a replacement winger.

Jesus Rodriguez of Real Betis and Anthony Gordon from Newcastle could be options while someone like Javi Puado could be acquired from Espanyol this summer once his current contract expires.
