Liverpool tipped to repeat Ben Doak trick by signing £4m Scottish SENSATION
When Liverpool signed Ben Doak for just £600,000 in 2022, the club knew they were getting a brilliant player.
At just 16, Doak had already made his Celtic debut under manager Ange Postecoglu, and was impressing at youth level for Scotland.

Since signing for Liverpool, Doak has become the youngest Scottish player to make his debut in the Premier League, played four times for his national team and is currently ripping the Championship to shreds on loan at Middlesborough. Not bad for a 19-year-old who spent much of last season out with a knee injury.
If he continues to progress at this pace, it looks like Doak could be one of the players Arne Slot turns to in the future to replace Mohamed Salah - by no means an easy feat.
Now, Liverpool are looking to repeat the trick by bringing yet another Scottish youngster to Anfield.
According to the Daily Mail, Liverpool are among a number of clubs interested in signing 18-year-old midfielder Lennon Miller from Motherwell.
Miller has become one of the most sought-after players in Scottish football this season, having featured in all 16 Motherwell games so far this season.
As with most Scottish players, Celtic and Rangers have been heavily linked with making a move for Miller in the January transfer window, with a bid of £4m likely to be enough to convince his club to sell.
However, neither club has made an approach, according to the report, which says that Liverpool are well-placed to join a “bidding war” for Miller in the near future.
Where would Lennon Miller fit at Liverpool?
Arne Slot and Sporting Director Richard Hughes have been looking at a number of midfield targets since they joined the club earlier this year, believing that a deep-lying midfielder is crucial to success in Slot's tactical system.
A bid for Martin Zubimendi was accepted before he famously decided to stay at Real Sociedad during the summer. However, reports in recent weeks have shown that there may still be a world in which the Spanish European champion ends up at Anfield.
Aurelien Tchouameni has also been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool, and would be a high-profile addition to the midfield.
Ryan Gravenberch's form so far this season has meant that Slot might not be as desperate to sign the 'finished product' as he was earlier in the year, but both Zubimendi and Tchouameni would be good partners for him in midfield.
How Miller compares to Liverpool midfielders
It is probably too soon for Miller to come into the first-team setup at Anfield, but his stats in the Scottish Premier League this season show why Liverpool might make a move in due course.
When comparing Miller to Gravenberch - via Squawka - we can see that the pair are quite similar in some areas this season, a caveat being that Gravenberch is playing in a much more dominant side.
Both players have high interception and ball recovery stats this season: Gravenberch has 2 interceptions per 90 minutes, Miller 1.5, while Gravenberch recovers the ball 5.8 times per 90, with Miller at 6.7.
Miller is also no stranger to trying - and executing - the spectacular, as seen in his incredible goal from his own half for Scotland against England from kickoff.
Liverpool's youth transfer policy
Signing Miller would fit with Liverpool's recent approach to the transfer market in relation to young, British players.
Since Brexit, British clubs can't sign foreign players under the age of 18, which has led to many Premier League teams focusing on getting the best, young British talent as soon as possible.
This can be seen in Liverpool's signings of players like Doak, and more recently, Rio Ngumoha. Anfield is seen as a good destination for the best young players in the country due to the fact that there has been a viable path to the first team for players from the academy in recent years.
Ngumoha has been electric for Liverpool's youth sides since joining from Chelsea, and has been widely tipped as a future England international. His signing was seen as a huge coup, with Chelsea so upset at losing him that they banned Liverpool scouts from attending their home youth games.
Miller is older than both Ngumoha and Doak were when they joined the club, but his transfer would follow that theme of Liverpool finding and signing the best young players before anyone else can.
