But the victory also confirmed relegation for the Foxes, just one year on from the Championship promotion campaign.

With the drop finally confirmed after a miserable season, Ruud van Nistelrooy’s side must now decide who’s for sale and who’s not.
The King Power club have got major Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) concerns, which means question marks over the majority if not all of their squad.
And Liverpool could once again pounce for a relegated talent in order to complete a savvy transfer market deal.
They did it before in the case of Peter Crouch, Xherdan Shaqiri, Andy Robertson and Gini Wijnaldum and there is a Leicester playmaker who could fit the bill as the Reds’ next deal for a relegated star.
Liverpool get go-ahead for El Khannouss bid
Bilal El Khannouss has been on the club radar since his days in the Belgian leagues - at Anderlecht before transferring to Genk - and made the move to Leicester for ÂŁ19 million last summer.
He has been a bright spark in an otherwise awful season and Liverpool’s interest was first revealed by Anfield Watch back in winter. The 20-year-old is under contract until 2028 but is now widely expected to depart following relegation.
That is according to a new report in the Telegraph, which claims financial necessity will press Leicester into sales - El Khannouss included.
“Offers will be considered for most, if not all, of the squad as the club seek to comply with PSR,” the report states.
“That is the business model that, as a result of the rules, most clubs of Leicester’s size have to follow.
“[Mads] Hermansen, the Danish goalkeeper, has attracted previous interest from Chelsea and Manchester United.
“El Khannouss, the £19 million summer signing from Genk, and Republic of Ireland’s Kasey McAteer, are also likely to be targeted.”
