All-action midfielder is ready to be Liverpool's next MAJOR signing
Liverpool have their eyes on a new midfielder who could well become a major signing for the Reds.
Liverpool have some major plans this summer. They're looking to overhaul their attack, as exclusively revealed by Anfield Watch.

But they're not going to stop there. It's all part of a statement summer at Anfield as the Reds look to take the title-winning team and show it can actually be far better.
It's quite crazy when you think about it. Liverpool aren't happy with this squad and feel Arne Slot can get a lot more done with a group of players that suits him.
Of course, they did think something similar back in 2024. Liverpool tried to bring in a new midfielder for Slot as they targetted Martin Zubimendi.

The Spaniard rejected Liverpool, however, and the Reds decided to stick with what they've got. But the point remains that the club wish to add a bit more to the midfield.
The rise of Ryan Gravenberch has changed the plan slightly - they don't need a progressive holding midfielder. Instead, they can focus on adding more versatility into the middle. Someone who can offer Slot a bit more flexibility.
And they might have found the right player.
Liverpool target Lamine Camara
TheBootRoom claims Liverpool are one of several Premier League clubs looking to sign Lamine Camara from AS Monaco. At the very least, they're looking into the possibility.
There's no mystery why. Camara moved to Monaco from Metz last summer after a brilliant campaign in Ligue 1.

He's simply kept improving. Just about every area of his game has seen a rise in numbers.
Camara is averaging around 4.6 tackles and interceptions per 90 minutes that season. That's up on 3.5 at Metz in 2023/24. He's winning over half his tackles against dribblers - again, up on last season.
But he does more than that. Camara contributes 4.08 shot-creating actions per 90 minutes this season. Only 10 Ligue 1 players can better that figure, who have also played at least as many minutes as him.

To top it off? Camara only turned 21 this season. He's still a very, very young player and one who is progressing year on year.
The potential here is enormous and if Liverpool want a versatile, plug-and-play midfielder for next season, Camara is a near-perfect choice. He could well end up being viewed as a major signing.
