Kylian Mbappe AGREED to join Liverpool in 2022 when relations with Paris Saint-Germain were at an all-time low.

That’s according to a new report in L’Equipe, which claims Mbappe’s disappointment in PSG’s sporting project led him to consider a move away from the club just weeks after signing a contract extension.

Mbappe, 25, was frustrated that the Parc des Princes outfit failed to land either Bernardo Silva or Robert Lewandowski in that transfer window and submitted a transfer request.

He had just earlier agreed a two-year extension with an option for a third year, which Mbappe neglected to take up before moving on a free transfer to Real Madrid this summer.

Reported Liverpool target Bryan Mbeumo could be available next summer and Brentford’s asking price has now been revealed.

Although the Reds completed the signing of Federico Chiesa this summer, links to long-time target Bryan Mbeumo persist.

The 25-year-old has started this season impressively, with three goals from three games, and he continues to be linked with a departure even though the transfer window is now closed.

Mbeumo joined Brentford from French outfit  Troyes in 2019, when the Bees were still a Championship side. He has since made just over 200 appearances for the west London club, scoring 53 goals and providing 43 assists.

According to Peter O’Rourke of Football Insider, Brentford are set to demand £40 million for the signature of Mbeumo next summer, when he will only have a year remaining on his contract.

Liverpool have Conor Bradley problem

© IMAGO - Conor Bradley Trent Alexander-Arnold

Conor Bradley could soon become a problem for Liverpool. The 21-year-old was one of the surprise packages of the 2023/24 campaign as he confidently and comfortably filled in for the injured Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Whereas some of the younger players departed from the club this summer, the Northern Ireland international was retained and he’s featured in all three Premier League games for the Reds this term.

The flying full-back will likely return to the bench this weekend for Liverpool’s game against Nottingham Forest. There’s a possibility he doesn’t make his first start of the season for the Reds until the Carabao Cup clash against West Ham United towards the end of the month.

The likelihood is that Bradley, a player good enough to start for most teams in the Premier League, will have nothing more than a bit-part role this season.
