Liverpool now in TALKS over wonderkid
Liverpool have developed a reputation over the last number of years as an elite finishing school for top-tier British and Irish talent.
Conor Bradley, Trey Nyoni and Rio Ngumoha are among the youngsters who have made the breakthrough into the first team and there are plenty more out on loan waiting for their chance.

Ben Doak, Lewis Koumas and Luca Stephenson are among the players away from Liverpool this season on loan with the club either hoping to cash in on transfers or else prepare these starlets for potential first-team appearances in the future.
It’s a solid pathway and one which has served Liverpool and the players well in recent times but it doesn’t always work out perfectly.
In the case of Calvin Ramsay, for example, the defender endured a torrid spell on loan during the first half of the season at Wigan and has since returned to the club.
According to James Pearce in the Athletic, the Scot could now join Kilmarnock for the second half of the season.
Kaide Gordon recalled
And another promising Liverpool youngster has ALSO been recalled from loan by the club this January.
Winger Kaide Gordon joined the Reds back in 2021 from Derby County as one of the biggest young talent around. He has featured seven times for the first team, becoming the club’s youngest-ever FA Cup goalscorer back in 2022 when he scored against Shrewsbury Town.
The 20-year-old was given a loan spell at Championship side Norwich for the 2024/25 season but like Ramsay at Wigan he has struggled to make an impact. Gordon only made one start amid 10 Championship appearances for the Canaries and Liverpool have seen fit to recall him.
Regarding his next move, Pearce states: “Gordon will return to Liverpool this week and the plan is to fix up another loan for the second half of the season with a number of Football League clubs having already registered interest in securing his services.”
The England under-20 international has seen his development halted through injury troubles and both he and Liverpool will be hoping for a productive second half to the season out on loan.
