Star told Liverpool WON'T pay £310k per week contract demands
Bayern Munich have WITHDRAWN their contract offer to Joshua Kimmich, leaving the Germany captain in a “tight spot” according to the latest reports from Bavaria.
Kimmich, 30, is one of Bayern’s highest-earning players, raking in a reported €375,000 (£310k) per week, but is out of contract at the end of the season.

However, the defender-cum-midfielder wanted to up his demands for a new deal in light of the contracts recently handed out to Alphonso Davies and Jamal Musiala.
It’s been reported by Kicker that those deals were “not in line with the market” but Bayern were willing to break the bank as the Canadian left-back and the Germany attacking midfielder both have significant potential to get better.

At 30, the same is not the case for Kimmich and the club have subsequently brought a halt to negotiations.
Liverpool TURN DOWN Kimmich deal
Bayern are attempting to send a message that they will not be held to ransom for new contracts by their players any longer and Kimmich is the first one to suffer.
So what has all of this got to do with Liverpool?
Well, in the same report it’s been claimed that Real Madrid and Liverpool are two of VERY few clubs available to Kimmich.

According to Kicker, Liverpool were even offered the chance to sign Kimmich through “an acquaintance” but declined to follow through with talks.
Given the club’s pressing need for a right-back and a holding midfielder, it’s perhaps surprising that they turned down a player of Kimmich’s calibre.
But the deal didn’t work for Bayern and it’s unlikely that it will work for Liverpool either.
Kimmich's MAMMOTH demands
The £310,000 per week that Kimmich currently makes at the Allianz Arena would put him second to only Mohamed Salah in the Liverpool contract stakes and would have the potential to cause unrest for several stars in line for a new deal.
“It could be very difficult for Kimmich to find a club that will pay him even a fraction of the salary he received in Munich,” Kicker states. “This means that the midfielder, who is not without controversy at Bayern either, is in a tight spot.”
Bayern may well come back in with a new offer for Kimmich before the end of the season but on a significantly lower salary than he’s been receiving throughout the terms of this deal. Otherwise the club are willing to move on.
