Liverpool ready to POUNCE for world-class striker
Liverpool are facing a free transfer predicament next summer.
Trent Alexander-Arnold, Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk are all out of contract in summer 2025 and as things stand the high-profile trio will be LEAVING Anfield.

Alexander-Arnold has been frequently linked with Real Madrid while there are now as many as eight teams looking to sign Salah when his contract ends.
Van Dijk is close to finalising an agreement to remain at the club but so far no official word has been issued about his renewal.
Those departures would leave Arne Slot with significant gaps to plug in his squad and it would likely require some major incoming signings to make up the shortfall.
Liverpool want Jonathan David
However, Liverpool are ready to take advantage of the free agent market in their own right with plenty of top names coming available in 2025.
It was reported by Colombian media earlier this week that the Reds had Leroy Sane in their sights with the Bayern Munich winger no closer to renewing his contract at the Allianz Arena.
And now the Athletic is reporting that Jonathan David is another player who is of interest to Liverpool sporting director Richard Hughes.
Described as one of the most sight-after free agents in the world, David currently plays for Lille and has scored goals in the Champions League this season against Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Juventus.
The 24-year-old forward’s advisors are sounding out potential interest for their client with a view to moving on a free next summer.
Premier League interest is likely to be strong with not only Liverpool but Chelsea, Tottenham and Aston Villa all keeping tabs on the Canada frontman. However, offers from the continent are likely to materialise too with Juventus, Atletico and Inter Milan all reported to be keen on signing David.
Bayern Munich also have a long-standing admiration but it’s not currently known whether they will come into the mix as yet. This season he has scored 17 goals in 25 games in all competitions and would provide a significant boost to the Reds’ striking options.
With Diogo Jota constantly in and out of the team due to injury, and with issues around Darwin Nunez’s consistency, it would be no surprise to see Hughes and Arne Slot opt for a new forward next summer.
