Liverpool wonderkid is 'a waste of money'
Liverpool opted to loan out several youth and fringe stars this season. The likes of Lewis Koumas, Ben Doak and Stefan Bajcetic have all been performing away from Anfield this term.
And while Jayden Danns missed out on a summer loan due to injury, he was another who was sent out on loan right at the end of the winter transfer window.

Before joining Sunderland in the Championship for a half-season loan deal, Danns also signed a new, long-term Liverpool contract.
Moving to the promotion-chasing Black Cats was supposed to give Danns the first-team football he craved and permit him to gain confidence and experience ahead of a potential return to Arne Slot’s squad.

However, things haven’t worked out like that for the 19-year-old, who was injured during his Sunderland medical at the start of February.
Danns returned to Liverpool for treatment on the injury but it doesn’t look like he will be playing for Regis Le Bris’ side before the play-offs at least.
Danns signed by Sunderland
Sunderland have made a habit of signing injury-hit players this season - with Enzo Le Fee on the sidelines and Ian Carlo Poveda struggling to prove his fitness - and the signing of Danns has been identified as the type of transfer Sunderland should seek to avoid in the future.
As part of Football League World’s “Terrace Talk” series, Sunderland fan pundit Jordan Newcombe said that unless Danns comes back into the lineup for a potential playoff run then he would go down as another waste of money.
“One of the issues is buying players that are injured,” he said “Obviously I'm referring to Jayden Danns - he got into his medical and they found a back problem.

"Now during a medical you still have the option to sign the player after you find out what's going on with the medical and why Sunderland have still signed him is beyond me.
“I've got no doubt Danns will have improved the squad massively.
"But unless we're unless he's back for the play-offs, I don't see him playing for Sunderland this season.
“So it's just a waste of money realistically, the same as Poveda.”
