Danns is currently out injured but he will join the Sunderland squad in a few weeks and will be given first team opportunities to showcase his talent.
In Sunderland, Danns will be joining the youngest club in the Championship, who are fighting for promotion to the Premier League.
Competition for places will be fierce, with Sunderland often playing just one striker up top and their first choice striker Wilson Isidor being in great form.
But the move has the potential to benefit Danns, and Liverpool, too. In a multitude of ways.
Danns move could help Liverpool land double deal
In the past, Liverpool have always liked to do business with one club in particular. For years, that was Southampton, with Liverpool bringing in a plethora of players.
Then it was the Red Bull clubs, from where Liverpool didn't just buy players but also sent players on loan including Fabio Carvalho and Stefan Bajcetic.
Danns moving to Sunderland is interesting because Liverpool have been linked with a few players from the Championship side. Suggesting this move by Danns could be the first of many and a breakthrough of sorts.
One of those players who has been linked with a move recently is Trey Samuel-Ogunsuyi. The 18-year-old Belgian youngster has been tearing it up for Sunderland's youth sides and has even sat on the first team bench.
Liverpool are admirers of his talent and having built good rapport with Sunderland thanks to this Danns deal a move could now be a lot easier to pull off.
Another player who has been on Liverpool's radar is Chris Rigg. He's a record-breaking teenager who has been likened to Jude Bellingham and is regarded as one of the biggest talents in the Championship.
Securing his services would be an absolute coup for the Reds and now Danns will hopefully be in his ear telling him about how great Anfield is as well.
Riggs and Ogunsuyi fit the profile of the kind of recruitment Liverpool like to make. Sunderland fit the profile of the kind of club Liverpool like to do business with, they promote young talent and play exciting attacking football.
