Liverpool transfer news: RED ALERT after Jamal Musiala demand
Liverpool will be on red alert after Jamal Musiala's incredible request. The playmaker has put Bayern Munich in a difficult spot.
Liverpool are long-time admirers of Jamal Musiala. That actually dates back to his pre-Bayern Munich days, when signing up the then-teenager was a priority for most elite clubs.

He decided to go back to Germany but that didn't stop those clubs from dreaming of the day when they could snatch Musiala up. Though, Bayern aren't exactly an easy club to sign from.
Remarkably few stars leave the German giants, certainly in the modern era. It's just not a club that players push to leave and that's what makes Musiala's current situation so interesting.
Bayern want to tie him down to a long-term contract. Musiala even wants to sign one - but he has some demands.
And those demands are getting in the way. But they're also leaving the door open for clubs like Liverpool.
Musiala wants release clause
Sky Germany's Florian Plettenberg reports that Musiala still hasn't renewed his contract with Bayern. There's no real agreement, either, as talks continue.
However, both parties do want to sign a deal together and something could come together in January. Game over for Liverpool, then?
Not necessarily.
Plettenberg reports that Musiala wants a release clause in a new contract. That's not something Bayern are typically keen on giving and in doing so, they'd leave the door open for a move.
And Liverpool could be very interested in a deal like that. A time will come in the next few years where Mo Salah needs to move on - potentially next summer, in fact.
The attack will need a rebuild and Musiala is exactly the kind of talent Liverpool would want. Their interest remains anyway and a release clause would keep things a very real possibility even with a new deal at Bayern.
This then, remains one to watch for the foreseeable future.
