Harvey Elliott is about to help Richard Hughes land DREAM Liverpool transfer
Richard Hughes is not a huge favourite around Merseyside at the moment.
The Liverpool sporting director has really struggled to get key deals over the line during his first six months in charge.

Starting with the failure of not landing Martin Zubimendi and continuing with the inability to tie down the Reds' trio to new contracts up to this day.
It means Liverpool could lose Trent Alexander-Arnold, Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk all on a free transfer at the end of the season, which would be a complete disaster.
But it might not all be doom and gloom. There is a transfer Hughes could pull of with the help of Harvey Elliott.
Why Harvey Elliott could help Liverpool sign Jamie Gittens
One area where Liverpool will be looking to bolster their options is the left-wing department. It's clear the Reds want to sign a left-winger.
The club's interest in Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in this January window was confirmation of that. Despite being well stocked in the department, Hughes and co. are clearly looking for a way to upgrade the Reds' current options.
And one player who Fabrizio Romano has recently claimed Liverpool scouts have been keeping an eye on is Jamie Gittens.
The Borussia Dortmund winger is a tremendous talent and he could be an almost dream transfer for the Reds after missing out on Jude Bellingham and Jadon Sancho from the German side.
And Hughes seemingly has a trump card up his sleeve to get the deal over the line. That trump card being Elliott, who has recently been linked with a move away from the club with one of the interested parties being Dortmund according to reports.
Dortmund will be reluctant to let Gittens go and that is what the club's managing director reiterated to Anfield Watch back towards the end of last year.
However, since then Romano has claimed Dortmund are more open to the idea of losing him in the summer of 2025.
That should make a deal for Gittens should Liverpool wish to pursue their interest in the winger a lot easier to complete.
Naturally, with Dortmund wanting one of Liverpool's assets and vice versa it could be a simple deal to pull off.
And that is why the Reds should follow up on that interest and looked to sign a very talented winger in Gittens, who could absolutely be an upgrade on the club's current options.
