Mamardashvili just dropped a MASSIVE Alisson transfer hint
Liverpool sporting director Richard Hughes completed a deal for Giorgi Mamardashvili last summer.
The Georgian goalkeeper was signed from LaLiga side Valencia for a £30 million fee despite the Reds being well-stocked in the goalkeeping department.

With Alisson Becker long established as the club’s No1 choice and Caoimhin Kelleher a more than capable deputy, Mamardashvili was parked on loan at Valencia for the 2024/25 season.
The campaign couldn’t be going much worse for the fallen Spanish giants, who are second from bottom in the league table and five points from safety.
Mamardashvili and his teammates had their worst outing to date at the weekend, falling to a disastrous 7-1 defeat to Barcelona.
Alisson set for Liverpool exit?
While Barca proved to be far too good for Los Che on the night, Mamardahvili also had a game to forget, rushing from his goal in a failed attempt to close down Raphinha, who scored easily once getting behind.
The 24-year-old was approached by former Valencia player Ferran Torres after the game and made some revelatory comments about the Liverpool future of Alisson.
Asked directly why he didn’t move to Liverpool at the start of the season, Mamardashvili simply responded: “Alisson”.
Mamardashvili to take over as No1
There has been significant transfer uncertainty around Alisson for the last couple of transfer windows. One of the club’s highest earners, the 32-year-old has not been reliable from a fitness standpoint and his form is beginning to slip this season.
Accordingly he has been linked with an exit - either to Saudi Arabia or homewards towards Brazil - before his Liverpool contract ends in 2027.
Mamardashvili’s revelation could well mean that he is coming to the club to REPLACE the Brazil No1 rather than compete with him for the starting shirt. Liverpool could be set for a goalkeeping shakeup at the end of the season with Alisson in doubt and Kelleher also looking to become a No1 in his own right.
With his contract running out in 2026, Liverpool could be forced into a decision sooner rather than later with Mamardashvili primed to take over.
