Liverpool's new signing told he WON'T start: 'A very high level'
Liverpool's new arrival isn't expected to start next season. It's a 'very high level', says one coach.
There's change to come at Liverpool this summer as the Reds aim to shake up a title-winning team. That's no easy feat - how do you comfortably improve on the best in the league?

Liverpool will try to do just that, as Richard Hughes is tasked with finding truly elite players. Those players are then asked to improve on the level of those they're replacing.
It's unclear how viable that is, though. We know whoever comes in at right-back will struggle to replace Trent Alexander-Arnold, assuming the Scouser does join Real Madrid as expected.
Liverpool want to bring in a new centre-back, too, with Ibrahima Konate entering the final year of his contract. Filling any void left by the Frenchman is an unenviable task.
It's certainly easier to do that up front as Liverpool aim to sign a striker. Neither Darwin Nunez nor Diogo Jota have delivered what Arne Slot wants this season.
But there's one position on the pitch where replacing the incumbent actually feels impossible.

Alisson Becker vs Giorgi Mamardashvili
Giorgi Mamardashvili has signed for Liverpool and will join up with the Reds this summer. He was signed a year ago, of course, but spent the campaign on loan at Valencia.
But it's a tricky one for Liverpool this summer. Mamardashvili absolutely did not sign with the club to be a backup goalkeeper.
It's also inconceivable that the Reds paid £29m for a goalkeeper they don't intend to start. At the same time, why would they actively attempt to replace Alisson Becker if he didn't want to leave?
That's the big question facing Liverpool this summer. There aren't really any expectations that Alisson is off, so what are they doing with Mamardashvili? Current goalkeeper coach Claudio Taffarel doesn't believe the Georgian is going to get into the starting XI.
"The club made this option there [to sign Mamardashvili], I think a year ago, a year and a little ago," he told ESPN. "This purchase of this young man, maybe a little for the future.
"But Alisson is a guy who is at a very high level. And even by age, with experience, with the will, you know? It's going to be very difficult for someone to get here and replace him, right?"
It's true that Mamardashvili is still only 24 and has plenty of time on his side. We're just not sure he really wants another loan out next season and more uncertainty in his career.
No one appears clear on what's going to happen, so it's all very much 'wait and see'. But it's unquestionably one of the biggest problems facing Arne Slot this summer.
