Arne Slot could be about to REUNITE with a forward who won the Eredivisie title and Dutch Cup under him at Feyenoord.

Igor Paixao, a 24-year-old Brazilian, scored 21 goals and added 10 assists for the Rotterdam side in two seasons under Slot, who left for Liverpool last summer.

After the Dutchman departed De Kuip, Paixao was asked about the possibility of following him to Anfield. “I only see this on social media,” he told Globo Esporte.

“(The fans) don't want me to leave Feyenoord, but it doesn't depend on me. Together with my agents and the board of directors we will decide the best path to follow.

“A lot of people are always tagging me and asking: are you going to Liverpool? I don’t know anything, I’m just waiting. But Dutch football is really cool. The intensity is what makes it different.”

And it’s been reported by Caught Offside that Liverpool are among the clubs whose staff have been WOWED by Paixao this season. Along with Arsenal, Tottenham, Aston Villa, West Ham and Roma, the Reds have scouted the 5’6 left-winger, who could be available for between €30 million and €35m.

The report adds there have been NO talks and NO offers for the forward as yet but scouts of both Liverpool and Arsenal have sent in positive feedback about him.

Paixao on Slot: 'He helped me'

Having broken through at Coritiba in Brazil, Paixao joined Feyenoord in 2022 and established himself as a key player for Slot.

He became a Dutch title winner in 2023 before scoring the winning goals in the KNVB Beker (Dutch cup) final last season. This term he has got 13 assists and five goals across 23 Eredivisie and Champions League matches.

He was also the winner of the Eredivisie's goal of the season award for 2023/24.

Paixao is tied to Feyenoord until 2029, having just recently signed a contract extension.

Of his relationship with Slot, Paixao said last summer: "He also helped me when I arrived, in my development, and I felt like I was helping him.

“It's good that everything worked out. He did an exceptional job with our squad. I just have to thank him and wish him success at Liverpool. He will be missed, but he has to keep working."
