Inter open talks with Liverpool winger Federico Chiesa
Liverpool only signed ONE player for the first team last summer with Federico Chiesa arriving from Juventus.
The 27-year-old Italy winger was signed for a knock-down fee, which could reach £12 million, as Juve sought a solution to get his salary off the books.

There was quite a fanfare over Chiesa’s acquisition with fans initially hailing sporting director Richard Hughes for completing an ‘opportunistic’ transfer.
However, things haven’t gone to plan for the Euro 2020 winner, who has spent only 78 minutes on the pitch in total since signing just before deadline day.
Italian journalist claims Chiesa - Inter talks
Head coach Arne Slot recently admitted that Chiesa wasn’t up to the rigours of Premier League football and he’s since been linked with an immediate return to Serie A.
Clubs like Roma, Napoli and AC Milan have all reportedly shown interest in the ex-Fiorentina man but it looks like Scudetto holders Inter who have stolen a march on other potential suitors.
Italian journalist Alfio Musmarra claims that Inter have begun talks with the entourage of Chiesa in an effort to secure his signature in January.
It's likely to be an initial loan and Liverpool would require half of Chiesa’s salary to be paid in order to satisfy their conditions for a six-month loan deal.
Cassano questions Chiesa deal
“There is new contact between Inter and Federico Chiesa, who has no space in Liverpool,” he wrote on Instagram.
“The discussions continue but a meeting point must be found on the salary issue.”
It’s clear Chiesa needs match practice in order to get up to speed, with Italy legend Antonio Cassano wondering what has gone wrong with the forward considering he has also fallen out of contention for the national team too.
"You need to tell me what the f**k is happening with Chiesa,” he said on Viva el Futbol. “A player who in 2021 was one of the best if not the best along with Donnarumma in the Italy team that won, and I thought, now he goes there, different league, he'll be fine and can play wing-back, can play wherever he wants and likes, but he can't even play 10 minutes in the league.
“He's physically unwell, hasn't settled in, isn't up to standard - we need to know something about this for our National team because in my opinion he's the most talented player we have.”
