European rivals ready to sign Liverpool forward who was set to STAY
Liverpool are on the cusp of sealing their 20th league title, but big changes are coming at Anfield.
Despite the success that Arne Slot has enjoyed early in his career with the Reds, the squad at his disposal is still very much Jurgen Klopp’s.

The only senior player who has actually been added to Slot’s squad is Federico Chiesa, and that move hasn’t quite gone to plan.
The Italian has played less than 400 minutes since his move to Merseyside, but his attitude has not waivered, and he appears committed to trying to make it work.
Despite Chiesa’s apparent dedication, a European giant are reportedly circling in case the 27-year-old becomes available this summer.

European giants readying Chiesa move
Speculation surrounding a potential exit for Chiesa has been rife since just weeks after his signing was announced, with the majority of reports suggesting a move back to his native Italy is most likely.
Now, a new report from Italy has claimed the Serie A leaders Inter Milan want to bring in Chiesa this summer.

According to InterLive, Inter’s CEO Giuseppe Marotta has the intention to build an Italian nucleus at the club, and Chiesa is one of the stars he plans to bring in.
The report states that the player has a desire to return to Italy and specifically mentions the upcoming World Cup as a reason for the winger to find a new club where he is guaranteed playing time.
Although no fee is mentioned in the report, it does say that Chiesa’s Italian return could be on loan so he can secure his spot in Spalletti’s World Cup squad.
Liverpool’s summer transfer plans
Chiesa’s future at Anfield is uncertain at best. The fast-approaching transfer window is set to see a number of high-profile departures at Anfield.
Anfield Watch exclusively revealed earlier this year that Luis Diaz, Diogo Jota and Darwin Nunez are all expected to leave Liverpool.
The new contracts recently signed by Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk have bought an end to some of the uncertainty at the club, but Chiesa’s future is yet to be decided.

Interest from the winger’s homeland is clearly still present and, with minutes at Liverpool definitely not guaranteed, an Anfield exit just 12 months after his arrival could be on the cards for Fede Chiesa.
