Agent now holds key to expected Liverpool deal
Liverpool have been tipped to be active in the upcoming transfer window. Several targets have reportedly been identified with the likes of Hugo Ekitike, Nicolo Rovella and Milos Kerkez appearing on the club’s wishlist.
But in order to facilitate new arrivals, Liverpool sporting director Richard Hughes is going to have to make space. Not only is Liverpool’s wage bill one of the highest in Europe, but FSG will expect money in before they sanction any big deals to improve Arne Slot’s squad.

Diogo Jota and Darwin Nunez are among the players who could move on should the right bids materialise.
But there are also question marks over other forward players with Liverpool bosses at an impasse over a potential contract renewal for Luis Diaz and Federico Chiesa earmarked for a quick return to Serie A.

Signed last summer for a £12.5 million fee from Juventus, the Italy international hasn’t convinced Slot of his capabilities and has spent most of the season on the bench or in the stands.
He was the subject of intense interest in the January transfer window - with Roma, Inter Milan, Napoli, Fiorentina and Atalanta all linked.
Milan seek talks with Chiesa's agent
But the strongest links of late have been with AC Milan, who are reported to be seeking an Italian core in the upcoming transfer window.
It has been reported by Calciomercato that Milan have got Chiesa on their list and technical director Geoffrey Moncada will seek to exploit his strong relationship with Chiesa’s agent Fali Ramadani in order to strike a deal.
Ramadani is the chief of the LIAN Sports Group, which also represents Milos Kerkez - a Liverpool transfer target - as well as Amar Dedic, who was linked with Anfield in January.
“Milan is also considering a very intriguing option: Federico Chiesa,” the Calciomercato report states. “At the moment it is just an idea, but pay attention to possible developments.
“The Liverpool forward is very much liked by Geoffrey Moncada, who could take advantage of his excellent relationship with Fali Ramadani.”
The pair are said to be close with Milanese reports recently suggesting the parties had come to a compromise over a contract renewal for Luka Jovic.
Chiesa, 27, is under contract at Anfield until 2028 and has only played a marginal role for Slot since coming to the club.

If Liverpool could make even a modest profit on the Italy international then it might well be an irresistible deal for club bosses - and one which swells the coffers for incomings.
