Fabrizio Romano CONFIRMS major Liverpool plan
Fabrizio Romano has confirmed Liverpool's major plan ahead of the summer. Richard Hughes wants magic to happen.
Liverpool didn't do much transfer business in 2024. At least, they didn't do much to affect the first-team squad.

Plenty of players left, though typically just those who had been out on loan. Both Fabio Carvalho and Sepp van den Berg joined Brentford, for instance, bringing in around £45m.
There were only two 'senior' signings in return. Giorgi Mamardashvili signed from Valencia but immediately returned to the Spaniards on loan.
Federico Chiesa arrived from Juventus for just £10m but the Italian has barely played. That one looks more and more like a financial investment rather than a genuine first-team signing.
2025, however, will be different. Fabrizio Romano has moved to confirm that - Liverpool have some major plans afoot.

Romano confirms summer plan
Fabrizio Romano believes Liverpool will make 'many changes' this summer. The exact number isn't clear, just that the Reds are aiming to really shake things up.
"Liverpool will have many changes in the summer window," he said on YouTube. "We anticipate some signings.
"It could be two, three, maybe more. It also depends on outgoings."
This is something we've believed at Anfield Watch for a while now. Liverpool aren't going to rest on their laurels whatsoever and intend to give Arne Slot a squad built for him.
It's a statement of intent and quite a stunning one to the rest of the Premier League. Here's the team running away with the title believing that things could and should be much better.
Two major first-team signings is the minimum as we understand. It could end up being far more if the likes of Darwin Nunez, Ibrahima Konate, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz all depart.
All of them are strongly linked with exits and have intense interest from other clubs. Liverpool are open to selling the lot of them (except for Alexander-Arnold, of course, who they have no control over).

Everything is shaping up for the busiest Liverpool transfer window for over a decade, then.
