Fabrizio Romano confirms interest in 'PERFECT' winger
Liverpool could be facing a transfer shake-up in attack at the end of this season.
Amid considerable uncertainty over the future of Mohamed Salah - who looks ever closer to Al-Hilal - the Reds might soon require some high-quality attacking reinforcements.

Ben Doak may well be sold in order to fund new purchases on the right where Bryan Mbeumo has been linked and over on the left-wing, the situation is also in doubt.
Luis Diaz is known to be unhappy at his current contract, which was signed in 2022, and he has warned Liverpool he won’t sign a new one until he gets wages more in line with his role in the team. More outlandishly, Cody Gakpo has been linked as a summer transfer option for Bayern Munich.
There could well be a big name incoming from the Bundesliga too if the latest reports from Fabrizio Romano are to be believed.
Liverpool watching Jamie Gittens
Jamie Gittens, 20, has been a standout for Borussia Dortmund this season, shining in both the German league as well as the Champions League.
The Englishman has scored seven goals and added four assists in 18 league games this season and he has also scored four in six Champions League matches.
Although Dortmund’s form has tailed off dramatically since the resumption of the German season, Gittens’ remains one of the team’s go-to players - scoring in two of his last three matches.
Romano has now CONFIRMED Liverpool’s interest in signing the winger but added that the Reds will have to take on Chelsea in their efforts to repatriate him this summer.
“There is strong interest in Jamie Gittens,” the Italian transfer expert said on his YouTube channel. “We’ve had reports about Chelsea. There are two clubs are closely monitoring Gittens from the Premier League. One is Chelsea. And the other is Liverpool.
“They’ve sent their scouts several times to follow him. The expectation is that to sign Gittens in January, in the next 15 days, will be tough, very, very complicated. Dortmund consider Gittens a crucial part of their project.
“But in case something crazy happens, remember that Chelsea and Liverpool are both monitoring him. Chelsea have already made contact to ask about the situation of the player. Liverpool are scouting him and have special attention on Gittens.”
Dortmund chief: 'Gittens is perfect'
Anfield Watch spoke to BVB’s Managing Director Carsten Cramer back in December following Gittens’ incredible solo goal against Bayern Munich. “It is our ambition to keep these players with us for as long as possible,” he said.
“It’s not our aim to make as much money as quickly as possible. He is a player who makes a difference. But he’s also a player who can be a good example to other young players that Dortmund gives you the time to develop yourself and educate yourself even if you are struggling with injuries.
“We are very, very happy to have him here. Happy with how he’s playing, how he’s behaving. He’s so humble. He’s a perfect Dortmund guy.”
Gittens joined Dortmund from Manchester City's youth sector back in 2020 and has a Dortmund at Signal-Iduna Park until 2028.
